Catappa leaves have been widely used in aquariums in Asian countries for a long time. Owners and breeders of various fish and animals such as fighting fish, discus, shrimp, crawfish and pecostomus use the leaves for the treatment of bacterial ailments, and also to heal injuries of fish, such as bites or transportation wounds. The risk of wound infections is tremendously decreased when our catappa leaves are being used. The mucous membranes are strengthened. It is remarkable that bacteria useful to the aquarium are verifiably not impaired when catappa leaves are being used. When transporting fish, it is strongly recommended to add catappa leaves or a small piece of catappa bark to the water used. This decreases the susceptibility and stress significantly which the animals experience from high concentrations of bacteria. When it comes to breeding, catappa leaves help promote the mating disposition of your fish, and reduce spawn fungi. By releasing humic acids and tanning agents, catappa leaves create a natural surrounding and increase the vitality and well-being of your aquarium occupants.

Usage: Put the leaf directly into the aquarium. One leaf is sufficient for approx. 30 – 50 l of water. The leaf will sink to the bottom of the aquarium within 24 – 48 h. There, it will release its active agents to the water within a period of approx. 14 days. After that, you may introduce a fresh leaf to the aquarium. The used catappa leaf can remain in the aquarium as additional feed or hide-out for crustaceans and shrimps, or may be discarded. Catappa leaves can be kept for an indefinite period of time if stored at a dry place. Since it is a purely natural product, changes in form, color and size may occur.

Owners and breeders of various fish and animals such as fighting fish, discus, shrimp, crawfish and pecostomus use the leaves and bark for the treatment of bacterial ailments, and also to heal injuries of fish, such as bites or transportation wounds. The risk of wound infections is tremendously decreased when our catappa leaves and catappa bark pieces are being used. The effect of catappa bark is similar to that of catappa leaves (Catappa Leaves), but considerably stronger. The comprised humic acid and tanning agents strengthen the mucous membranes of the fish and make it difficult for bacterial pathogens to permeate this protection. Likewise, the bark pieces are conducive to the reproduction and breeding of your fish. On the one hand, they promote the mating disposition of your fish, on the other they reduce fungi spawn. Even the growth of blue algae (cyanobacteria) will be inhibited by the compounds. It is remarkable, too, that the bacteria useful to the aquarium are verifiably not impaired. When transporting fish, it is strongly recommended to a add a small piece of catappa bark or catappa leaves to the water used. This decreases the susceptibility and stress significantly which the animals experience from the high concentrations of bacteria. You may as well condition your fresh water with our catappa bark pieces before you conduct a water change. This helps reduce stress for you fish. By releasing humic acids and tanning agents, catappa bark creates a natural surrounding and increases the vitality and well-being of your aquarium inhabitants. It is good to know that the retrieval of the bark, no tree is being harmed nor perished.

Usage: Put a piece of bark directly into the aquarium. One piece of catappa bark is sufficient for approx. 100 l of water. The bark will sink to the bottom of the aquarium in a little while. Should you need a fast disposal of the active ingredients, infuse the catappa bark quickly in hot water. Usually, the active agents in our catappa bark are released to the water during a period of approx. 3 weeks. After that, you may introduce a fresh piece to the aquarium. The Seachem Algae Pads are non-scratch algae pads for glass & acrylic. The melamine foam uses micro abrasive technology to easily remove algae from the sides of your aquarium. They are particularly effective at removing algae from scratches. They are chemically inert and do not use soaps or detergents. Their white color contrasts against dark algae making it easier to see when areas are fully clean.

www.happypets.ae will NOT deal or provide any services or products to any of OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) sanctions countries in accordance with the law of UAE.

Multiple shipments/delivery may result in multiple postings to the cardholder’s monthly statement.

All orders placed in this web shop are subject to product availability and will be delivered according to our delivery terms. If there are any problems regarding your order, we will notify you using the telephone number or e-mail address you have provided with the order. On the rare ocassion items may not be in stock due to manufacturer delays or shipping delays. You will be notified of any delay.

We will happily refund or exchange any items that are damaged or defective upon opening the packaging. If you have found the product has a defect or is damaged, please take photographic evidence and send to us within 48 hours of receiving the item.

ALL refunds will be given with store credit.

Credit refunds are only possible for damaged or defective products and will only be available after goods have been returned and inspected and will be in the original mode of payment.

If you wish to return any product that has been incorrectly purchased, please contact us within seven days at info@equestri-online.com. Return requests received after the seven day window will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Delivery charges are non-refundable and the cost of returning incorrectly purchased products is the responsibility of the customer.

We do not accept product returns if:

Products have been altered in any form their original purchase
Tags and labels have been removed or if original packaging is not available
Items have been used
Items that have been purchased on sale or promotions

Any consumables like Food, treats, supplement or medication product returns must be unopened, in original packaging with no defects and should have at least 6 months validity to be considered for return by us.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse any returned items if the product has been used or tampered with.

Please give us some time to process your return/exchange. It takes about 1-2 business days for us to receive the returned or exchanged product(s) back from you. Within 72 hours of receiving the item back in our warehouse, you will receive an e-mail and a credit note that reflects that the amount has been credited into your account. Please allow for up to 21 days for the refund transfer to be completed.

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel their order at any point unless the order has already been dispatched, in which case, please refer to refund policy.

Lost or Damaged Goods

In the unlikely event that any goods are lost or damaged in transit, please contact us immediately via email to info@equestri-online.com. In the case of non-delivery please wait seven working days from the date of your order in case it has been delayed. In case of goods received damaged or faulty please retain the goods, please take photographic evidence and send to us within 48 hours of receiving the item. Upon receipt we will arrange for the damaged or faulty goods to be exchanged or we will provide a store credit of the cost of the goods.
